How we see Giftedness

Our understanding of Giftedness.
At Gifted Zoo, we don’t reduce giftedness to a number.

We acknowledge many models and assessments. They can offer insight, but they are not the full story. Tests measure capacity but they don’t capture how it feels to live with it.

For us, giftedness is a lived experience.
A particular way of sensing, thinking, and moving through the world.
Of noticing more, feeling deeper, and holding complexity.
It’s not only about IQ or performance. It’s about a rainforest mind: rich, interconnected, intense.

Many neurodivergent people never learn they are gifted, often because assessments and explanations stop at scores or labels. Others discover high capacity later, sometimes alongside difficulty or what is often called twice-exceptionality.

At Gifted Zoo, we look beyond tests and categories.
What matters is resonance, recognition, and belonging.
